Bird Art, Fun for Bird Friends of all ages, and Bird Friendly Auction
Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival Fundraiser ensures top-notch programs, speakers, and the ongoing legacy of the Festival.
The Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival is Alaska’s largest wildlife viewing festival. It honors the return of spring and the breathtaking migration of shorebirds through Kachemak Bay.

The auction will include the ORIGINAL lively artwork by 2024 Festival Artist, Torie Rhyan, timeless plates from Jim Hautman's, Classic Waterfowl Collection, and unique 6x6 inch canvases ready to hang, painted by local artists of ALL ages and abilities, including participants in Homer's Independent Living Center's Artability program, depicting migratory birds of ALL kinds.
All ART is exhibitied in the hall of Land's End Resort, 4786 Homer Spirt Road.
The Auction also includes some wonderful Brome Bird Feeders, Birder 'Self-Care' & FUN Items; services and wares generously donated by local businesses. Artists of ALL ages and abilities responded to our community art call! Birding and Art are a great way to connect to Nature for everybody and every body!
All items can be seen online and will be auctioned online. Meet the artist and Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges Board Members on May's First Friday 5/5,4:30-6:30 p.m.
The minimum bid for each item will be stated.
Bidding opens on APRIL 26, 2024
Bidding will close on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 12:00pm AKDT. Winning Bidders will be notified and are welcome to pick up their items at: Alaska Maritime NWR Visitor Center (95 Sterling Hwy.) between 12pm and 4 pm,between May 13 and 18, 2024.
Items not picked up during that time will be shipped via USPS to Winning Bidder with additional shipping costs. (we'll be in contact with that fee).
All proceeds will benefit the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival, ensuring world-class programming and education, year to year.
