The Augusta Players is an award-winning non-profit theatre organization that for 80 years has been serving the Augusta community including all 18 counties of the CSRA. TheAP is dedicated to presenting the highest quality educational, theatrical and social service programming. Our "Mission": To develop educational opportunities, community spirit, life enrichment programming, and artistic theatre skills that build a true community across the region while creating an enviornment that attracts, excites, informs, and impacts diverse participants."
Through community outreach, special programming for youth, families that face challenges and senior citizens, we exist to enrich the cultural lives of our populace. We are committed to providing a positive outlet for cultural and artistic expression to all those who wish to learn, grow, entertain or be entertained.
The Augusta Players has been Augusta's premier theatre company since 1945. Now in our 80th Anniversary Season, the Augusta Players has become a cultural fixture in the community. Over the years, the organization has experienced remarkable growth in the size and quality of its productions. Our continued growth has been due in no small part to members of our community who believe that quality performing arts, education and service are an essential part of our community.
The Augusta Players' programming provides an environment where all citizens can create, experience, and appreciate theatre as well as create the cultural infrastructre that allows the community of Augusta to flourish.
