Applause is the parent booster organization that supports the curricular and extracurricular musical education programs at Lake Forest High School for band, orchestra, and choir. This year, the auction proceeds will support the RMA lobby renovation project. 

2025 Raymond Moore Auditorium lobby renovation project. 

As part of District 115’s long-range capital plan, the Raymond Moore Auditorium lobby is slated for renovation. This will totally change both the student and community patron experience.  

The introduction of soft seating will provide visitors an option to sit down. Screen displays will promote past and upcoming performances, as well as have live streaming capability, so for anyone who needs to step out (or for students who are waiting for their cue), no action will be missed. The biggest change will allow for flexible space for concessions, eliminating the big bulky built-in countertops there now. The design will transform the lobby's current backdoor aesthetics into an elegant entry point for our students and guests. The District also hopes to feature the Tragedy and Comedy sculptures from the original LFHS theater more prominently. 

Applause granted $50,000 to this project in May of this year. PALS theater booster organization recently pledged $30,000. However, construction cost estimates were much higher than anticipated, and more outside funding is still needed. To this request, the Applause Board members recently voted for the proceeds of this year’s Auction to be dedicated to the RMA lobby renovation project.
