<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Throughout the year Utah Pet Partners (UPP) teams touch the lives of tens of thousands. Our trained animal-handler teams work with professionals in hospital, health facilities, shelters, schools, assisted living, memory care centers, juvenile courts and more.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">What makes animal-assisted therapy unique is that animals, not human, do the real work. Our animals have created a sense of joy and well being for the people we serve, and the interactions are mutually beneficial for the animals.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Since 1993, UPP has focused on training, mentoring and supporting our animal-handler teams that provide animal assisted therapy to a variety of clients throughout Utah. In 2023 our teams served over 55,000 clients, using 2500 volunteer hours statewide.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Much of our recruitment, continuing education, and training is through online resourses and is also available to interested voluteers all over the US, and the world.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">We are working tirelessly to get new handlers trained and ready to bring comfort, love, hope and healing with their therapy animal partners.</span></p>
