Here is your chance to transform lives.
Thank you for coming to our auction site. The proceeds from this year's "Tee It Up for Literacy" auction will fund technology needs for the Plymouth Public Library's Literacy Program. This program offers adult basic education for adults 16 and up in Southeastern Massachusetts. In addition to helping students acheive their high school equivilancy degree, the Literacy Program offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, computer literacy and life skills classes -- all free of charge.
Here are just five reasons to support this program:
- Learning disabilities, bullying, illness and financial concerns are just a few reasons why people don't finish high school. We help when the system fails.
- Nearly 3,000 Plymouth residents over the age of 18 do not have their high school diplomas. We meet them where they are and help them move forward.
- Adults who have been laid off-especially after years of experience-often struggle to find similar work. We help with job searches and retraining programs.
- Technology skills are needed in every field and every aspect of our lives. We teach the students the skills they need in the digital world.
- Plymouth County has the largest immigrant population. English as a second language assists hundreds of students every year. When our students gain English proficiency, we can open doors to better employment.
By winning an item -- or items -- in our online auction, you are helping to transform lives.
PLEASE go to BIDDER LOGIN and REGISTER!
And, then BID, BID, BID! And, be sure to check back often because we will be adding new items until the gavel drops to close the auction on Monday, June 17th at 3 pm.
Thank you.
