The Avon Education Foundation plays a vital role in supporting our schools through grant funding, backpack programs for students in need, classroom supply assistance for teachers, and funding for essential initiatives such as Freshman Orientation, IRead intervention, and the Evening of Excellence.
Established in 2006, the Avon Education Foundation was born from a vision to bridge the gap between our rapidly growing school community and the limitations of state education funding. Pam DeWeese, then a member of the Avon School Board, recognized this challenge and researched how other Indiana school districts were addressing similar needs. Inspired by education foundations across the state, she collaborated with the superintendent, teachers, and administrators to establish what is now a cornerstone of support for Avon Schools.
