About Us
Burnaby Neighbourhood House (BNH) enables people to enhance their lives and strengthen their community. We work with our communities to develop innovative programs and services that meet the changing needs of a diverse population.
Programs and Services
BNH provides a variety of programs and services for the local community, including:
- Food Justice Programs
- Community Engagement Programs, such as community events, income tax clinics
- Volunteer-Led community programs, such as English conversation classes, digital literacy
- Licensed Before and After School Care, Preschool, and Early Years
- Youth Leadership Programs
- Seniors social and wellness programs
- Settlement & Integration Programs
What are we raising funds for?
The goal of hosting our annual fundraiser gala and online auction is to raise funds for our most underfunded programs and services, namely our Welcoming Places (which are our 3 front line hubs where individuals can connect and get resources), our Community Engagement Programs (allowing us to provide free/low cost programs for engagement), our two Food Hubs (which serves over 2,600 Burnaby households), and our Youth Leadership Program.
