Our Story

Care House Learning Center (CHLC) was founded in 2022 with the mission to improve the lives of children and families with comprehensive support through accessible childcare and the love of Christ. CHLC seeks to ensure all children, regardless of familial income can access high quality early childhood education to ensure school readiness and lifelong success. Serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, CHLC offers daily childcare and preschool services from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. In its inaugural year, the center delivered over 35,000 hours of childcare, benefiting 58 children and over 40 families.

Care House Learning Center’s theory of change is that by participating in CHLC, students will experience improved academic outcomes, increased social and emotional wellbeing, and the associated positive health outcomes which will ultimately result in lifelong success. Research has shown that access to high quality early childhood education is associated with increased likelihood of high school graduation, higher lifelong earnings, lower reliance on welfare, and decreased interactions with the criminal justice system.

Join us for our first annual Brighter Futures Dinner and Auction as we seek funding to ensure that all children, regardless of familial income, can access high quality early childhood education and the associated positive lifelong outcomes.
