In 2023, close to 1,400 dogs came to the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department Shelter, aka, "the pound." Most of these poor creatures needed to be spayed or neutered, and many needed care for illness or injury. Friends of Stark Pound, an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity, raises approximately $55,000 a year to purchase medical and surgical supplies needed to provide care through the veterinary department at the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department.
All the funds raised in the Friends of Stark Pound Tenth Annual Online Auction help fund the canine medical program for sick and injured homeless dogs who come to the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department shelter. This treatment relieves suffering and prevents the spread of illness at the shelter. By making a dog healthier, we significantly improve his/her chances of being adopted by a loving family. Best of all, when a dog goes to its forever home, he/she goes spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm tested. The donations we receive make all this happen.
Friends of Stark Pound also educates the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets, which is why we are making a difference in Stark County! The Online Auction is one of two major fundraisers we host every year. If you don't see something you like and still want to help, there is a donate button on our homepage.
Friends of Stark Pound hope you find it in your heart to be generous. Winning bids will be charged a small processing fee of $2.50. This will help us with the costs associated with the Online Auction platform Bidding Owl. We're deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity!
