Welcome to our annual fundraiser for Neighbor Ape projects!
Although the Fongoli chimpanzee group is doing well, with many infants in the group, they are facing increasing pressures on their natural resources from people that have moved into the area, following the ongoing gold rush. They have started expanding their range into the neighboring chimpanzee group's area. All of the chimpanzees in this area of Senegal face such pressures.
The Fongoli Savanna Chimpanzee Project team is working closely with local villages and biodiversity patrols to stem illegal activities associated with pressures stemming from the gold rush. Pant hoots of thanks for checking out our auction!
