Welcome to the Second Annual German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Holistic Care Education Center Fall Fundraiser - wow!  what a mouthful!  Elena Parker is the owne r and is primarily responsible for the rescue, and her dream for many years has been to operate her own rescue focusing on - but not limited to -German Shepherd Dogs. After a few years of learning and working to build colllaborative relationships with shelters and rescues around the state and the country, she has been approved to tag dogs  for rescue in multiple shelters in Texas, with many in the Houston and Austin areas.  For the last three years, this rescue has tagged in shelters, supported street dogs, and took in dogs from dog owners, helping about 300 dogs each year to find homes, leading happy lives far from the threat of abuse, starvation, and euthanasia.  About $200,000 per year is spent on medical treatment, food, suppli Create Homepage Greeting es, boarding, and transport. If deemed necessary, dog training is also provided to improve an animal's chance to find the right home. No public funds or grants are provided to ensure these life saving efforts can continue. GSDRHCEC is a foster based program and provides food, suppport for vet visits, and other supplies for the animals it pulls.  It is entirely dependent upon the actions and generosity of fosters and dog-loving donors such as you!  Please take a few minutes to browse our auction items - all have been donated and actual or estimated retail values are provided.
