Welcome to our new auction site. This is our club's main fundraiser for the year. Our members generously donate these daylilies from our own gardens. (We are Zone 6-7). You will be able to receive quality daylilies for a fraction of the cost and help a good cause. Please read the instructions below carefully as some of our processes have changed.
Each daylily lot is for a bare root plant of 2 fans unless otherwise noted.
All daylilies will be available for bidding/sales on August 27th at 8 am CST. Auctions and sales will end on September 1st at 9 pm CST.
Auction
All plants in the auction section have 1 lot.
Due to the website's constraints the auction daylilies were separated from buy now daylillies by placing a "z" before their name. All categories (left column on each page) that start with "z" are auction plants. So the zA-zB category on the left are auction daylilies that begin with the letters A though B.
Daylilies bids will begin at $5 and can be increased by increments of $5. There are two ways to bid. A bid is a flat bid of, for example, $10. An auto bid is one where you set a maximum price you want to spend, for example, $50. As others bid, your bid will override their bid until it eaches $50. You may increase your auto bid at any time.
Buy Now
A second way to purchase a daylily is to Buy Now. These dayliles do not have any notations before thier name. You will pay the Buy Now price and automaticlly receive that daylily without any additional bids on it.
Shipping & Shipping Date
We ship via Priority Mail (only within contenential United States but NOT to California). We charge $10 for the first plant and $2 for each additional plant. Unfortunately, this site will not let us charge shipping that way. We will manually calculate the shipping at the end of the auction and send you a new invoice with the correct amount. We will ship the daylilies on Monday, September 8th.
Pickup Plants
Pickup in St. Charles, MO area on September 7th after 1 pm or Pontoon Beach, Illinois area on September 8th 9 am - 5 pm. Exact address will be sent the evening of September 6th. Other times as needed. Please contact Sara (skbdd10@gmail.com) with any questions.
Payment
The bidding owl website charges $10 per plant! However, we charge $10 for the first order and $2 for each additional order. Unfortunately, this site will not let us set the shipping that way. We will manually calculate the shipping at the end of the auction and send you a new invoice with the correct amount. So when you receive a winning bidder email, DO NOT pay the Bidding Owl invoice. Wait until you receive our corrected invoice after the auction is over on September 1st. (It will be less!)
The correct invoice will contain a link to pay via paypal (credit cards). You have the option to pay via Zelle (gslds.treasurer@outlook.com). If you pickup your plants locally you can pay by cash or check.
Processing Fee
Remember, this is a fundraiser for our club. In order to use this new site, we must charge a 5% processing fee.
