The LGBTQ+ Alumni Group

Our Celebration Weekend is our signature event and this year it will be held in Indianapolis starting with a wonderful soiree & our silent auction Friday, March 22, 2024, at 5 pm at the Guggman Haus Brewing not far from the IUPUI campus.  On Saturday we'll have our distinguished alumni award presented during a lovely brunch with your IU LGBTQ+ community. 

You can support our work with donating or purchasing items in our Annual Silent Auction on Friday night! 

The Indiana University Alumni Association LGBTQ+ Group has over 3,200 members, working to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Indiana University on all eight campuses.

The silent auction during the weekend raises money for our philanthropic priorities such as grants for student-led education initiatives, alumni events and communications, and most importantly, merit- and emergency-based student scholarships.  You can learn more about our scholarship funds at the following: http://alumni.iu.edu/chapters-groups/lgbtq/scholarships 

The success of the silent auction depends on our ability to attract donations to purchase hoosier themed work & art.  In the past, the auction has included such items as weekend getaway packages, tours, artwork, jewelry, clothing, collectibles, dinners with prominent figures, athletic and entertainment tickets and memorabilia, heirloom items, gift baskets, handmade crafts, gift certificates, and the like.  By clicking on the menu to the left you'll find this year's amazing items up for bidding!

LGBTQ+ Alumni Association Student Program and Scholarship Fund 

The IU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning + Alumni Association is an active and vibrant organization of IU alumni and friends who want to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and alumni from all IU campuses. Your contributions to our student program and scholarship fund can provide a safety net for students in crisis, and create opportunities for connection, learning, advocacy, and more.   • Friday March 22nd:  Soirée & Silent Auction    5:00 – 7:00 PM   Guggman Haus Brewing Co.  $10/person
  • Saturday March 23rd:   Annual Town Hall Meeting    9:00 AM – 10:30 AM     Indiana Room, University Tower  Free and open to the public
  • Saturday March 23rd:   Distinguished Alumni Award’s Brunch   11:00 AM – 2:00 PM   Ballroom, University Tower   $30/ person
