NDS Harlem serves thousands of clients every year, protecting the upper Manhattan community and keeping families intact.

We live in a country where racism is endemic to every system of life. That informs our mission: literally every program we run is designed to confront and fight systemic inequality. From immigration to healthcare to the criminal legal system to family court to education to employment to housing, we battle systems infused with racism.

But we need your help. Our clients face threats to their safety, their freedom, their homes and even their children. Financial support in case of emergency can make all the difference in the world. What seems like the smallest thing - cleaning supplies, meals, bus fare - make the difference between a client walking out of court with their freedom, or not. The ask is low and the stakes are high.
