The Onalaska Education Foundation (OEF) is a local non-profit, 501c(3) organization that is fully volunteer-run, so 100% of funds raised through the annual “Taste” event are used to support our Claude Deck Grants and Acts of Kindness and Seasons of Kindness programs that directly benefit Onalaska students and educators.

The Onalaska Education Foundation (OEF)

The OEF’s Mission

To support educators in their quest to develop innovative opportunities for students, promote the incorporation of emerging technologies within the curriculum, facilitate business and private sector contributions to our schools, support students in need, and encourage outstanding academic achievement among all students in Onalaska public and private schools.

Claude Deck

Grants Program

This program provides competitive grant funding to Onalaska educators for innovative and creative projects and programs that inspire their students to achieve educational excellence. More than $21,000 in Claude Deck grant funding was awarded to 23 teachers at six different Onalaska schools in 2024.

Acts of Kindness (AOK) and Seasons of Kindness (SOK) Programs

These programs provide funding to ensure that students in need in Onalaska schools have access to essentials items and services like clothing, tennis shoes, winter boots and coats, glasses, bicycle helmets, toiletries, sports physicals, eye exams, instrument rental and activities fees, haircuts, bus passes, holiday gifts, and much more.  The OEF provided more than $20,000 in AOK/SOK funding and purchased holiday gifts for more than 130 Onalaska students in 2024.

We hope you and a friend will join us at the 2025 "Taste!"
