Thank you for checking out the Rural Vermont 40th Anniversary Art Auction! For four decades, Rural Vermont has been proudly amplifying farmer voices, fighting for a farm and food system that cares for farmers, the people they feed, the ecosystems they nurture, and the communities they support. We’re ending this milestone year with an epic celebration at the Barre Labor Hall on Sunday, October 19th from 4pm - 7pm which is also where this amazing art auction will commence! You can find more information and register for the 40th Anniverary party here.
Online bidding will begin Wednesday, October 1st and end at 6:30pm on Sunday, October 19th at the 40th Anniversary Party in Barre. You do not need to be present to win. We can ship the artwork, shipping charges may apply.
We invite you to come on in and check out three beautiful pieces, each created in a different medium. These include a letterpress broadside of Wendell Berry's "Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front" (signed by Wendell Berry!), a black & white woodblock print, "Clover," by local artist (and RV member!), Jack Thomas, and finally an original painting by a longtime member, Grace Brigham (and the artist behind a timeless and special Rural Vermont farm scene banner).
