Welcome to the Cat Care Society Summer Art Auction
Last year Cat Care Society received a generous donation of paintings by the noted late artist Mary Vander Molen. After Mary's death, her daughter Andrea was kind enough to share the wealth of paintings retreived from the galleries where Mary exhibited her work. Her paintings reflect her love of travel to Mexico and South America. Numbers 01 through 014 are by Mary Vander Molen.
We are also offering paintings by the late Jackie McFarland. Jackie was a gifted watercolorist who was a charter member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. She participated in Cat Care's Tails of the Painted Cats many times, combining her fondness for flowers and cats. Jackie's paintings were donated by her family, including daughter Jill who was a longtime volunteer at Cat Care's food bank, Nibbles & Kibbles. The McFarland paintings are numbers 015 through 019.
And lastly, included in this sale is a small grouping of Jim Shore collectibles that were collected and enjoyed by our late friend Gail Tinianow.
Please note: Most of these pantings came to us professionally framed under glass. It was difficult to photograph them without a bit of reflection here and there, so our apologies are in order. The photographs of the paintings have been cropped to the image so if details regarding frames is desired, please contact Jane Dorsey at jdorsey@catcaresociety.org
All profits from the Summer Art Sale go directly to the cats at Cat Care Society. Our sincere thanks to the donors of these collections. We hope these lovely works of art find new homes and enrich the lives of their new owners, as paintings should.
