This summer, the Plymouth Public Library Foundation (PPLF) is pleased to introduce three very unique items!

The three items are:

  1. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare -- dating back to 1766! That's right -- over 250 years ago!
  2. A Victorian Dollhouse -- measuring over 6' tall!
  3. "Draco Rising" an acyrlic painting by Renowned Muralist, Scott Kettle

All proceeds will benefit the Plymouth Public Library located in Plymouth, Massachusetts -- with one exception. Proceeds from the Victorian Dollhouse will be shared by our fellow non-profit organization The Jordan Hospital Club!

All funds raised by the Plymouth Public Library Foundation (www.pplfdn.org) are used to support the Plymouth Public Library and enhance programs and opportunities for patrons.

Here is an overview of the programs and activities we support:
Literacy For Life

The Library's Literacy Program is the ONLY Adult Basic Education Program in southeast Massachusetts that provides English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education, Computer Literacy, Life Skills, and GED classes. Additionally, this program matches adult learners with trained volunteer tutors. One of our proudest moments each year is our annual Graduation Ceremony, where students receive their High School Equivalency Diplomas. What was once thought impossible becomes a reality, and new paths are forged!

Technology Upgrades

The PPLF provides funding to the library to expand public access to computers by providing the latest in technology on a regular basis.

Cultural & Enrichment Programming

Each year the library offers hundreds of free programs that are held at both the Main Library and our Manomet Branch Library. Classical and popular musical performances, author talks, seminars of computer literacy and personal finance, poetry workshops and environmental forums -- all offered free of charge to patrons of all ages.

The Gallery

The PPLF works with local artists to host rotating art exhibits throughout the year to provide cultural enrichment for all patrons through various mediums. The Gallery's mission is to provide artists from Plymouth County with a venue to display their work.

Thank you for helping us to make the Plymouth Public Library the best that it can be!
