Join us for an afternoon of arts and crafts in support of H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue!

We're holding a silent auction with online bidding plus a live event at the Lowcountry Public House in Summerville, September 14, 1-4 PM. Local artists and crafters, including award-winning painters Sue Selvey and Karyn Healey, have donated pieces in various mediums for auction, with proceeds benefiting the horses and donkeys of H.O.P.E.!

Wildlife artist Sue Selvey will be onsite painting a portrait of one of our rescued horses during the event. The finished artwork will be raffled (winner to be announced the following day). Come enjoy the art, learn about the rescue, and get a drink or a bite to eat while you're there! The Lowcountry Public House will be offering equestrian-themed cocktails in honor of the event.

If you're unable to make it to the event or want to place early bids on your favorite items, you can still participate! Bidding is open through the end of the event at 4 PM on Saturday, September 14. Be sure to check out all of our fantastic items (select "All" from the Categories list)!

Matching Gift

An anonymous donor is generously matching all proceeds HOPE receives from the silent auction! HOPE will also receive 50% of the proceeds from any art offered for sale that is not being auctioned or raffled. With this matching gift, your winning bids will have twice the impact for the rescue!

How to Purchase Raffle Tickets Online

What is H.O.P.E. Acres?

We are a completely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Berkeley County, SC that has rescued, rehabilitated, and provided sanctuary for neglected and abused equines since 2010. Proceeds from Art to the Rescue will be used to care for animals that come to us sick, starving, and in need of a good home. We believe that all horses and donkeys deserve peaceful lives free from fear and neglect. Thank you for joining us in our mission as we give these beautiful animals a second chance at a happy life!

If you prefer to support the rescue with a monetary donation, you can give through the link provided on this website (located under the "Fund-a-Need and More" menu above) or through the H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue website. Thank you!
