Dan Livingston’s Journey

Dan Livingston creates community wherever he goes—first on the seas as a captain teaching sailing, and now in the Florida Keys as a craftsman. Since making Big Pine Key home in 2001 with his wife, Kim, and their two children, Jazmine and Zackary, Dan is known for his infectious smile, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to helping others. His work with Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Keys reflects that dedication, leaving a lasting impact on neighbors and friends throughout the community.

In December 2024, Dan was diagnosed with lung cancer, which has progressed to Stage 4. Surrounded by family and friends, he continues to fight with courage and gratitude.

This fundraiser, sponsored by the Women of the Moose of Big Pine Key, will help Dan focus on what matters most: his battle for a life of making memories and sharing his laughter with the community he loves. Dan and Kim are deeply grateful for the generosity and kindness of their community.
