Constrained only by the boundaries of their imagination, children ages 5 - 18 from across Racine were invited to design their dream piece of jewelry as part of a collaboration with Rasmussen Diamonds and the Racine Art Museum. Encouraging young creatives to “bring their imagination to life in sterling silver, dazzling diamonds, and vibrant gemstones,” this contest aimed to promote the connection between art and jewelry to Racine’s youngest residents.
Three winning designs—chosen by the public, RAM, and Rasmussen Diamonds—across different age groups were transformed into wearable pieces of art. All proceeds from these three pieces will go to charities selected by the young designers—Kindred Kitties, Wisconsin Humane Society, and Rescue Outreach.
