Coach Heidorf was the play-by-play announcer for the baseball team and associate head coach of the women’s basketball team. Coach Heidorf passed from synovial sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, in May 2022 at 46 years old. The game is in honor of Coach Heidorf and will feature a silent auction with donations from generous sponsors in the Platteville and surrounding community with proceeds going toward the new Marc Heidorf Scholarship Fund to help students dealing with cancer in their lives.
