Reiki is a mind/body healing practice using gentle touch and mindfulness approaches to invite calm, balance and healing to the body, mind, and to that part of ourselves that often is difficult to name. When relaxed, we think better, sleep better, overall feel better and can live more fully aligned with our values. Other possible benefits of Reiki are reduced pain, improved circulation, and assistance in recovery from injuries and surgery and support for the immune system. 
A session involves the recipient simply lying on a Reiki table (fully clothed) while the practitioner uses a protocol of hand placements over the body.  The practitioner’s intention is to be with the Reiki energy and invite the client into the Reiki space created. All the client needs to do is breathe and receive.
