Description
Elegant 17th-century heraldic engraving attributed to Jan Baptist and Lucas Vanden Kerckhove, Flemish artists and engravers active around the mid-1600s. The artwork depicts the coat of arms of a noble family connected to the reign of King Philip IV of Spain. The engraving features two circular seals: the upper one showing a mounted knight and the lower one displaying a detailed heraldic shield, both surrounded by Latin inscriptions typical of noble seals and official documents from the Baroque period. The paper retains the warm patina characteristic of antique works, and the piece is presented mounted in a modern gold frame, ready for display. Details: Artists: Jan Baptist & Lucas Vanden Kerckhove Date: c. 1640 Technique: Engraving (very likely copperplate, as lithography was invented later, in 1796) Image size: 6.5 × 10.5 inches Frame size: 30 × 38 cm Español: Elegante grabado heráldico del siglo XVII atribuido a Jan Baptist y Lucas Vanden Kerckhove, artistas y grabadores flamencos activos alrededor de la mitad del siglo XVII.
