Let this magnificent Barong mask, hand carved by Bali’s most famous Barong mask maker, protect your home and heal your soul. 

The Barong mask, which represents Lord Shiva, is one of the most important objects in Balinese culture. Prior to the introduction of modern medicine, Balinese communities would parade the mask around the village to cure sickness. The mask dance is performed by two dancers, and, much like the Chinese lion dance, it has a dancer for the head and one for the body. It is a wonderful image to have at the entrance to your home to ward off bad intentions and other maladies. 

This mask—which weighs around 20 pounds, and is about 3 feet wide—is a beautiful work of art. It was carved by Ida Bagus Alit,Bali’s most famous Barong mask mask and mask dancer.
