Description
These three Eisenhower dollars were issued during a contentious period between the U.S. Mint and coin collectors. Blaming collectors for hoarding, the Mint issued and sold these 40% silver coins directly to numismatists in an attempt to keep business strike coins in circulation. Called "Blue Ikes" because of their distinctive blue packaging (along with a blue plastic token), these coins are becoming more difficult to obtain. * Following the auction, winners will receive an invoice for their winning bid and shipping costs.
