CVCIS is proud to present “Bowser and Blue” a fundraiser event for The Gleaner scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 at CVR located at 1597 Route 138A in Ormstown.  George Bowser and Rick Blue (real name Richard Elger), better known as Bowser and Blue, are a musical duo from Montreal who write and perform comedic songs. They are best-known thanks to their YouTube Hit “The Colorectal Surgeon’s Song (Working Where the Sun Don’t Shine)”, and their hit show about a Montreal Deli: “Schwartz’s – The Musical”.  Rick Blue and George Bowser have been distracting Quebecers from their bizarre situation for more than 40 years! They started singing and playing together at the Irish Lancer Pub in 1978, after discovering, over several bottles of potent ale, that they were musically compatible. George Bowser et Rick Blue (de son vrai nom Richard Elger), mieux connus sous le nom de Bowser and Blue, sont un duo musical de Montréal qui écrivent et interprètent des chansons humoristiques. Ils sont surtout connus grâce à leur succès sur YouTube « The Colorectal Surgeon's Song (Working Where the Sun Don't Shine) » et à leur spectacle à succès sur une épicerie fine de Montréal : « Schwartz's – The Musical ». Rick Blue et George Bowser distraient les Québécois de leur situation bizarre depuis plus de 40 ans ! Ils ont commencé à chanter et à jouer ensemble au Irish Lancer Pub en 1978, après avoir découvert, après plusieurs bouteilles de bière forte, qu'ils étaient musicalement compatibles. Bowser & Blue sont toujours aussi populaires.
