Description
This 18"x24" unframed acrylic painting of Irises was painted by Jamal Saeed. Jamal came to Canada as a Syrian refugee and has continued to pursue his career as an artist and author. The Iris is common in Syria, and in Arabic is called Mounes al Ghareeb which means: the stranger's companion. Jamal continues to grow Irises in his home garden. Jamal is also an artist volunteer at The Mess Studio, an organization that Cataraqui Rotary has supported for over 10 years. No cash value, winning bidder will be mailed a certificate with pick up instructions. The Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston would like to acknowledge Jamal Saeed as a multiple item donor.
