Description

4 General admission tickets to the Discovery Park of America. Discovery Park of America is in Union City, in northwest Tennessee. It's a mix of science museum, history museum, and outdoor park, and it works for families, history fans, and curious adults. The museum is about 100,000 square feet, with a 120-foot observation tower as its most noticeable feature. The tower has views of the surrounding area and a glass floor panel. Inside there are about ten galleries covering a wide range: Natural history, with dinosaurs and a regional aquarium. The aquarium holds 20,000 gallons and shows life from the region's lakes. Regional and military history, including aircraft and ground vehicles. A transportation gallery. It covers 60 years of American automobiles, from dirt bikes to limousines. Native American artifacts, space and technology exhibits, and art. A kids' exploration area for younger children. 48-foot human sculpture with a slide inside, known as the Man Slide. 4-D simulation of the early 1800s earthquakes that shaped the region. There's also a 3D theater, plus a café and gift shop. The 50-acre heritage park has eight exhibit areas, a hedge maze, four gardens, and two lakes. It also has a man-made river, waterfalls, bridges, and a replica of an early 20th-century town. Nice weather makes the outdoor part much better, so plan around that.
