Description
What is a wonderful event or memory without some delicious mouth watering food and accompanied by stories reminding us of who we are and where we come from? Hawaii has always been known for being the melting pot of all the states with our diversity and sharing of cultures representing all kinds of people who call it home. So many wonderful memories have been shared and experienced with our ohanas at different events and functions. Here at SAS there hasn't been a special memory that stands out that hasn't been linked to tradition and a delicious dish shared. Each 7th grader’s ohana has shared one receipt of a local or traditional dish they share with their own family and friends. Our akamai 4th graders have highlighted each of their receipts with an original student illustration to bring their food to life. E Ho’ohanhan a E Ho’omau. To Honor & To Perpetuate. Items: A class cookbook with recipes from 7th Grade families!
