Description

"A Community of Hope" is a stitched narrative of resilience and collective strength. It translates the concept of "home" into a colorful neighborhood of house blocks, each one a unique testament to the small gestures that hold a society together. While the fabrics vary in color and pattern—suggesting the diversity of the people within—they are bound together by a shared foundation and a common purpose. In the space where a welcome sign might sit, you’ll find an "act of hope." These signs invite you to look closer and discover the quiet virtues that build a community, for example: • Grow: Reflecting patience and a belief in the future. • Nourish: Representing the act of feeding a neighbor. • Smile: Representing the smallest, most accessible act of peace. • Vote: Representing the quiet power of a single voice. • Whistle: Representing the courage to speak truth and the call to justice. "A Community of Hope" serves as a tactile reminder that hope is not a passive wish, but a series of deliberate actions we perform for one another. It is a warm, physical embrace of the belief that as long as there is an act of kindness being performed by every door, the community remains unbreakable. (Drafted courtesy of Google Gemini. Quilt based on the Suburbs pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew.) Dimensions 63” x 73”. Care Instructions: The quilt comes with a sleeve for hanging, a pillowcase for storage, and color-catchers for washing. The quilt is meant to be used and is machine-washable. The fabrics are 100% cotton and prewashed. The batting is 100% polyester. Wash on gentle and dry on low. Although I have already washed the fabrics once, I recommend using the color-catchers the first time you wash the quilt.
