A Curious Fellow is an homage to the strength found in gentleness. I started out wanting to paint a powerful, massive creature. By the end of the process, I fell in love with all the little details - the subtle tones throughout his gray skin and the delicate wrinkles and folds across his body. I sprinkled little white flowers in the background of the painting to capture this shift in my perspective.
