After a season of sowing, watering, caring, pruning, and guarding from pests, this piece represents the care and commitment of the gardener to her plants. the reduction woodcut process involves slowly carving away the same wood block and printing colors in successive layers by hand until the block is entirely reduced. The deep blues and grays of this print evoke a midnight gardener.
