Adamant Primrose Garden Visit

Fifteen years ago, landscape architect Barbara Weedon scattered a handful of primrose seeds into damp soil at the edge of a meadow—and left them to their own devices. A few blooms appeared the following spring, then more each year after. With no tending at all, they quietly spread: self-seeding along the brook, weaving beneath apple trees, and drifting out into the meadow. Today, the result is a breathtaking sweep of pink and red Primula japonica in full bloom. Experience the garden at its peak.
