Inkjet print on paper 20×30 cm *** BIO: Adriana de Carvalho (1980, Portugal) sou arquitecta, concluí o Mestrado Integrado em Arquitectura na Faculdade de Arquitectura de Lisboa, em 2006. Participei no programa Erasmus (2002); Études en Architecture, na École d’Architecture de Belleville, em Paris. A viver na Cidade do México entre 2007/2017 trabalhei como em arquitecta essencialmente, em dois ateliers Tatiana Bilbao S.C. e Maurício Rocha y Gabriela Carrillo | Taller de arquitectura em vários projetos de planeamento urbanístico, de arquitectura, cenografia e museografia, que tiveram lugar no México, Estados Unidos e Paris. Dentro da atividade profissional da arquitectura especializei-me em projetos relacionados com o contexto cultural, nomeadamente, museus, galerias, reabilitação e estruturas efémeras, tive formação em curadoria, assim como a oportunidade de lecionar um curso dedicado aos estudos curatoriais. Explorando novos conceitos de museografia, cenografia e práticas curatoriais, coordenei o programa de exposições (2012-2014) no museu La Tallera, antes casa/estúdio do muralista mexicano David Alfaro Siqueiros, em Cuernavaca, México. Fui Country Manager (2015) da start up de arquitectura Saraiva+Associados, na Cidade do México. Esta experiência deu-me confiança, conhecimento e alguns pontos-chave para alcançar e tornar os projetos e ideias realidade. Em novembro de 2017, iniciei a minha colaboração na equipa de museografia, produção, investigação e ‘art handler’ da Coleção Berardo, em Lisboa, até março de 2022, onde estive a cargo do projeto museográfico do Museu B-Mad e do Museu Berardo Azulejo Estremoz. No ímpeto de relacionar conceitos, criar afinidades, questionar e gerar ideias, estou a alargar o campo de investigação no Mestrado em Crítica, Curadoria e Teorias da Arte, na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa. No ano de 2024 mudei-me para o Porto e fiz parte da equipa de produção da Casa da Arquitectura, Centro Português de arquitectura, onde trabalhei com o Atelier do Corvo no projeto de museografia da exposição ’O que faz falta. 50 anos de arquitectura portuguesa em democracia?’.Hoje, trabalho no Museu de Serralves como produtora de exposições temporárias. Viajar é essencial, a dança é uma forma de expressão. ‘Saudade’, um denominador comum. *** BIO: Adriana de Carvalho (1980, Portugal) is an architect who completed her Integrated Master’s Degree in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon, in 2006. She participated in the Erasmus program (2002), studying Architecture at the École d’Architecture de Belleville in Paris. Living in Mexico City between 2007 and 2017, she worked primarily as an architect in two studios — Tatiana Bilbao S.C. and Mauricio Rocha y Gabriela Carrillo | Taller de Arquitectura — participating in several urban planning, architectural, scenographic, and museographic projects in Mexico, the United States, and Paris. Within the field of architecture, she specialized in projects related to cultural contexts, particularly museums, galleries, rehabilitation, and ephemeral structures. She also received training in curatorial studies and had the opportunity to teach a course dedicated to curatorial practices. Exploring new concepts of museography, scenography, and curatorial practice, she coordinated the exhibition program (2012–2014) at *La Tallera* museum — formerly the house and studio of Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, in Cuernavaca, Mexico. In 2015, she was Country Manager for the architecture start-up Saraiva+Associados in Mexico City. This experience provided her with confidence, knowledge, and key insights to turn ideas and projects into reality. In November 2017, she joined the museography, production, research, and art handling team of the Berardo Collection in Lisbon, where she worked until March 2022. During this period, she was responsible for the museographic projects of the B-MAD Museum and the Berardo Museum of Azulejo in Estremoz. Motivated by the desire to connect concepts, create affinities, question, and generate ideas, she is expanding her field of research through the Master’s in Art Criticism, Curatorship, and Theory at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. In 2024, she moved to Porto and joined the production team of the Casa da Arquitectura — the Portuguese Centre for Architecture — where she collaborated with Atelier do Corvo on the museographic project for the exhibition *What is Missing. 50 Years of Portuguese Architecture in Democracy?* She is currently working at the Serralves Museum as a producer for temporary exhibitions. Traveling is essential to her, dance is a form of expression, and *saudade* is a common thread that runs through her work and life.
