"Afternoon at Penn Cove" by Min Zhong

This painting measures 11" by 14" and includes a gallery-quality frame. Min is an award-winning artist based in Kirkland. She is a representational painter whose passion is the great outdoors and figures. She is a member of the prestigious Oil Painters of America, and the Plein Air Washington Artists (PAWA) and has been exhibiting in many juried shows, including Maryhill Museum of Art, Hockaday Museum of Art. She was selected as one of the 31 artists across US and Canada to paint at Glacier National Park in 2023. Min was the 2023 Feburary top 15% finalists in the international Boldbrush Art Competition, won first place in the Allied Arts Association & PAWA Paint Out in Richland in 2022 and Gold Award at the Camelback Gallery International Online Juried Visual Arts Competition Autumn 2021. Min studied with the legendary contemporary masters Max Ginsburg and Kyle Ma. She mainly works from life. She masterfully captures the beauty of nature and strives for impressionistic loose strokes blended with a classical realism that explore the interplay of shapes and light.
