BIO:
Alexandra Lucas Coelho publicou 15 livros. Trabalhou em rádio e no "Público", onde foi repórter, cronista, editora e correspondente no Rio de Janeiro e em Jerusalém. Fez na RTP3 e na A2 o programa "Volta ao Mundo em Cem Livros", que voltará em 2025. Foram-lhe atribuídos vários prémios de jornalismo e literatura (Gazeta, APE, Oceanos). Publicou uma série de textos de opinião e de reportagens no "Público" sobre o genocídio em curso desde o 7 de Outubro. O seu primeiro livro, "Oriente Próximo", foi dedicado a Israel/Palestina, território que acompanha há 23 anos e está também no romance "E A Noite Roda", em "Líbano, Labirinto" e no novo livro "Gaza Está em Toda a Parte".

This photograph is part of a set of 282, taken the last time I was able to enter the Gaza Strip (a territory closed to the global press since October 7). A selection of 37 from this set is included in the book "Gaza Is Everywhere", Editorial Caminho, 2025. This one is not in the book.

Alexandra Lucas Coelho has published 15 books. She has worked in radio and at the newspaper Público, where she was a reporter, columnist, editor, and foreign correspondent in both Rio de Janeiro and Jerusalem. She created the program "Around the World in One Hundred Books" for RTP3 and A2, which will return in 2025. She has received several awards for journalism and literature (Gazeta, APE, Oceanos). She has published a series of opinion pieces and reports in Público about the ongoing genocide since October 7. Her first book, "Near East", was dedicated to Israel/Palestine—a territory she has followed for 23 years—and is also present in her novel "E A Noite Roda", in "Líbano, Labirinto", and in her new book "Gaza Está em Toda a Parte".
