Description
Silver Seal cookware, which was manufactured by the Century Metalcraft Corporation. It is known for its heavy-duty, durable cast aluminum construction. The product in the image is a vintage hammered aluminum dutch oven with a lid. The lids were originally metal, but during World War II, the company switched to making oven-proof glass lids due to metal shortages. Silver Seal cookware was often made of hammered cast aluminum and included items like Dutch ovens, roasters, and omelet pans. The company was a forerunner of and later rebranded as Guardian Ware. The cookware is considered vintage, with some pieces dating back to the 1930s. Comes with original care instructions, as seen in photo.
