Com referência fotográfica de Belal Khaled e pensada como uma metade ao poema “If I Must Die” de Refaat Alareer, vítima do genocídio. *** BIO: O artista português António Nobre (n. 1993) tem desenvolvido trabalho na representação humana, explorando a sua dimensão física enquanto objeto que ocupa espaço, mas também presença. Uma dualidade entre a esfera pública e privada, à semelhança do transeunte com que nos cruzamos na rua: o corpo, fronteira física com o outro, basta para encerrar em si uma dimensão imensa de um mundo particular e privado. É esse véu, espera o artista, que se torna aparente - elevando um corpo a um universo e dos pequenos gestos, formas e porte o vislumbre de uma alma, à falta de melhor termo. His work reflects a duality between the public and private spheres, akin to a passerby we encounter on the street: the body, a physical boundary with the other, is enough to contain within itself the vastness of a private and inner world. It is this veil, the artist hopes, that becomes perceptible — elevating a body into a universe, and in the small gestures, forms, and postures, offering a glimpse of a soul, for lack of a better word.
