It is here in his practice, studio and darkroom that he synthesises his intimate knowledge of the cornish coastline with his technical skill as a printmaker into beautifully crafted silver gelatin and platinum palladium prints. About the work: The product of a 40 minute exposure on the Helford River with his Hasselblad camera, Goldsmith has guided the image through every step of the analogue process right down to final control of the highlights through careful sepia toning. Leaving a print that is testament to the commitment and care that Austen goes to; to achieve that finished print.
