I have always been captivated by the world of art, both as a viewer and a creator. I hand-carve low relief images into a variety of softwoods. My current wood carvings are a direct reflection of what brings me joy. Many of my carvings are made of old wood salvaged from antique objects or are local softwoods from a small local woman owned sawmill. I've drawn inspiration from my hikes in nature and the bold aesthetics of Traditional American Tattoos, I hope my art reflects a timeless harmony between the past and the present, inviting viewers to explore the beauty of tradition in a contemporary context. One thing I know for sure: when inspiration strikes, I turn to carving to capture my memories.
