Description

A handwritten note is a treasure, especially in our highly digital world. We created this exclusive set of notecards featuring prints of Jack's original bird art to help you stay connected with friends and family the old-fashioned way. This card set is a wonderful gift for yourself, a friend, or for the holidays. Available only in this auction and in John Muir Laws' store, this set includes 10 cards shown here, one of each design, including (from top left): Northern Saw-Whet Owl, Sandhill Crane, Brown Pelican, Great-Horned Owl, Northern Parula, Bushtit, California Scrub Jay, Song Sparrow, Orange-Crowned Warbler, and White-Throated Sparrow. The 4.5 x 6.25 in cards are printed in California on recycled paper, and the accompanying natural tan envelopes are also recycled. ABOUT THE ARTIST: John Muir Laws is a principal leader and innovator of the worldwide nature journaling movement. He is a naturalist, artist, and educator who has dedicated his work to connecting people to nature through art and science. From an early age, his parents instilled in him a deep love and respect for nature. Over the years, that love has grown into a commitment to stewardship and a passion to share the delight of exploring nature with others. As both a scientist and artist, Laws has developed interdisciplinary programs that train students to observe with rigor and to refine techniques to become intentionally curious. He is the founder and president of the Wild Wonder Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging nature connection and conservation through attention, curiosity, art, science, and community.
