ABOUT THE ARTIST: Keith Hansen comes from a long line of artists. As he grew, his passion for birds began to grow, and he took up illustrating birds in 1976. As a young man, he explored much of California leading him to his home in Marin County, CA. His latest book, “Hansen’s Field Guide to the Birds of the Sierra Nevada,” includes 1,270 individual watercolor and colored pencil detailed illustrations. His studio workspace and shop, The Wildlife Gallery, is located in Bolinas California as part of the Bolinas Museum, where visitors are welcome to the studio to view originals, prints, and the various works he has on display.
