Original House of Blues Grand Opening Concert Poster, 1994 which was held in West Hollywood, CA. signed by Dan Acroyd along with his aka "Elwood" . KZYX Blues Brothers promotion album. The concert was held Saturday April 30th, 1994. Headlining that evening was James Brown , Johnny Lee Hooker, Issac Hayes, and Clarence Brown. The Blues Brothers Show Band, Eddie Floyd, Andrew Strong, “Monster” Mike Welch and Charlie Musselwhite were additional performers of that historic evening. B&W photos of each headliner were printed on the Poster. The poster is on card stock with orange, blue, & black graphics. This poster is in a worn condition, clear signature, one-of-a-kind. The Blues Brothers is a 1980 American musical action comedy film directed by John Landis. It stars John Belushi as Jake Blues and Dan Aykroyd as his brother Elwood, characters developed from the recurring musical sketch & quote; The Blues Brothers originated from a variety series Saturday Night Live. The script is set in and around Chicago, Illinois, where it was filmed, and the screenplay is by Aykroyd and Landis. It features musical numbers by singers James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and John Lee Hooker. It features non-musical supporting performances by Carrie Fisher and Henry Gibson. In 2020, The Blues Brothers was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
