This piece is based on a fiction book written by PT Barnum, a 19th c. entrepreneur/real estate investor/promoter/politician/ and some would add, con man. Sounds like a contemporary someone!! Hence, the origin story of this art work. Note: the signage is illuminated by two battery -powered lights. This piece measures about 18”w x 17”d x 14”h. Mixed media: fabric, mixed papers, watercolor, pen, wood dowels, cork, plastic tubes, stitching, hot glue and mini lights/battery pack.
