Caryn Reichlin Johnson's Lidded Box

This raku fired lidded box measures 5" tall by 4.5" wide created by Caryn Reichln Johnson. Caryn is a student at the Community Arts Center and a member of the Potters Guild. Drawing on a 45-year career as an occupational therapist, Caryn finds herself reconnecting with the therapeutic power of touch through pottery. The deep pressure of working with clay provides a physical and mental centering that grounds her creative process. She uses hand-building techniques that directly engage with the clay's properties. This piece is a must have for a pop of color for a shelf or top a a dresser.
