Description
This is the original pink New England aster, developed by a Mr. Millard Harrington in Williamsburg, Iowa some 80 or more years ago and it has been in the Cresson garden nearly as long! Clear pink flowers on 3-5-foot stems in September, shorter on poorer, drier soils, which is a good thing. British author Graham Thomas said it “has much garden charm”. I agree.
