Description
Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was one of the most prominent authors of the Victorian era, best known for works such as A Christmas Carol and Great Expectations. This silver medal, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Dickens' death, was created by medallist Paul Vincze (1907-1994), a Hungarian artist who flourished in Great Britain after fleeing Nazi persecution in 1938. The medal measures 2.5" in diameter, contains 120 grams of sterling silver, and was struck by The Royal Mint. * Following the auction, winners will receive an invoice for their winning bid and shipping costs.
