Chris is a naturalist who learned his skills as an artist by studying with his father, George Augusta, a notable portrait and landscape artists. His paintings are his way of expressing what he sees and understands of the world we all share. He pays respect to these co-inhabitants in the world, not only the conventionally beautiful butterflies, but also the structurally and visually interesting beetles and bugs who may not always be quite so well appreciated.
