11" x 9" x 1.5" Acrylic on canvas. Forsythia blooming against an old structure in Cushing, ME. A local Waldoboro artist, Christopher Lawrence is inspired by the magic of the Maine coast from wide open spaces to narrow vignettes of the world around him. He utilizes bold colors and contrast to recreate scenes that evoke memories of his senses, whether it is witnessing the vibrant hues of nature, feeling the lazy bump of a skiff against a dock, or even the bitter sting of winters breath.
